Program Overview

Code Yourself Out of Poverty (CYOP) is an AODI digital skills development programme designed to equip young people, particularly those from underserved and rural communities, with practical technology skills that can create pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and economic independence.

The programme provides participants with hands-on learning in relevant digital and technology skills, helping them move from limited access to technology toward the ability to create, earn, innovate, and compete in an increasingly digital economy. CYOP is built around the belief that access to the right skills and opportunities can enable young people to use technology as a pathway out of poverty.

Through practical training, mentorship, exposure to digital career opportunities, and opportunities to apply newly acquired skills, CYOP supports young people to build both the technical capabilities and confidence needed to pursue sustainable livelihoods and contribute to their communities.
